Hello,
Lack of sensation during intercourse commonly occurs due to nerves inside the vagina that get used to certain sensations and hence become less effective. Avoid rough sex, sex with toys. Do not douche the vagina or wear any ornaments in the private parts. You should use vaginal lubricants to help vagina stay lubricated.
It can be due to underactive
pelvic floor muscles (hypotonic pelvic floor). Get connected to a Physical therapist. It may also be due to ED of the partner or pre mature ejaculation. You are suggested to visit a gynae or a counsellor with your partner and get
talk therapy done and also get examined to sort out the cause of the problem.
Both you and your partner need to be treated. Together you can explore the erogenous zones and do not be stingy with time. Relax and enjoy the moves. Changes in hormones and
stress may cause the tissues of the
vulva and vagina to become thinner, drier, and less elastic. Be careful of the medicines you have been taking, side effects may cause
hormonal changes. Get treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
