Suggest Remedy For Laryngitis
I have chronic post nasal drip (allergies) and currently for a week have a chest cold that, because of the coughing and throat-clearing has caused me to get laryngitis. What can I do to get my voice back and how long will it take? I am not sleeping much either due to the chest congestion.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have have chronic post nasal drip , coughing and laryngitis . Well the symptom you mention in query can occur due to may reasons like acid reflux , post nasal drip due to sinusitis , allergic rhinitis ( as you also mention ) or upper respiratory track infection . I would suggest you to do warm saline gargles and betadine gargles alternatively , take bendryl twice a day and avoid spicy and heavy food specially at night . Consult ENT specialist without any delay because infection may spread down to respiratory track and cause lung infection also . Doctor may order certain tests like throat swab test , CT scan , viral culture test and blood test to confirm the diagnosis . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 10 day , decongestant , expectorant , anti allergic drug and drug like sucralfate for healing of throat . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist or allergy specialist in case of acid reflux or allergic condition .
