Suggest Remedy For Loose Motions And Blood In It

Good morning respected doctors, my son is 4 years and is having loose motion look a like cough and is also slight red blood in it. I havee given him zioral syrup 1 time in the morning, it still didn t stop. How many times a day can I give him this medicine(zioral)

Hi welcome to HCM...

Noted your child having mucus and blood in stool...
Here zinc syrup can be taken as 2 to 3 times daily.....

But cause has to be searched for first.
Stool examination done...
It might show entameba eggs or trophozoites ....
For that metronidazole given....
If it shows pus cells then antibiotic needed for bacterial enteritis....

Maintain his hydration....
If no benefit then USG done....
