Suggest Remedy For Loose Stool

Hello , my baby is 14 months he has an The common cold , runny nose ,occasionally febrile ,loose stool for a week now. He just started the nursery , I want to know what I can do to help with his loose stool? He is not lethargic, well hydrated, still has a good appetite , fever reduced with paracetamol. He as two to three soiled diapers a day with loose stool which is sometimes green and very mal odorous . What can I do to help with his loose stool?

Hello. Thanks for asking Healthcare Magic. It seems that your baby has got infection of the gastrointestinal tract. I would suggest to start with an antibiotic like norfloxacin/metronidazole 100/120mg per 5ml. 2.5ml two times a day and lactobacillus sachet two times a day for 5 days. Oral rehydrating solution throughout the day in small sips. Hope this helps. Thanks and Regards.
