Hello
I have gone through your query.
I can understand your concern.
Testosterone is a male sex hormone, or androgen, produced in a woman’s ovaries in small amounts.
Too much testosterone can cause symptoms that effect a woman’s physical appearance and cause
infertility.
Causes of high testosteron are
Polycystic ovary syndrome,Hirsutism and
congenital adrenal hyperplasia.
It is very important to find the cause of your
hormone imbalance because this will determine the right treatement.
Birth control pills contain estrogen and progresteron in combination and this treatement is helpful to control the symptoms and to stabilise the menstrual cycle problems (caused by high androgens.)
-It is not necessary to stop taking your
contraceptive pills and to switch to estrogen therapy because this is not the right treatement approach in your case.Your contraceptive pills contain estrogen and this is enough for your body.
About your fertility problem,i suggest to talk with your treating
endocrinologist.Your diagnosis determine the solution for your infertility.
If you are a woman with a polycystic ovary,i suggest to try a medication called clomifene.
This is usually the first treatment recommended for women with PCOS who are trying to get pregnant.
Clomifene encourages the monthly release of an egg from the ovaries (ovulation).
But as i said earlier,it is necessary to discuss with your treating doctor about the possible solutions for your condition and your actual fertility problems.
Hope my advices are helpful.
Best regards.
