Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.
Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query
This is normal. that is how the body functions. The body has its individual prts represented in the brain, its called motor homunculus. The motor humunculus gives fibres that come down to lower brain. Here they cross over- the right side brain fibres turn to left and vice versa
These turned fibres travel down as such in the
spinal cord and then from there the nerves arise and the fibers travel from the nerve to the periphery (muscles).
Therefore if here is a damage to left side of the brain, it stops functioning. And the impaired signals from the brain that is not working moves to the right in the lower brain. And the entire right side is thus affected
I hope this helps you.
Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
