Hi Dear,
Welcome to HCM.
Understanding your concern.
Thanks for your query. The most probable cause for the symptoms you mention is aphthous ulcer .
There can be many reasons for occurrence of aphthous ulcer , but in your case it seems to me that mechanical trauma is the most probable reason for ulcers .
The other reasons are stress .
vitamin deficiency and irritation of mucosa due to certain medications .
Aphthous ulcers go away in week by itself .
I would suggest you to :-
- Try to relax your self .
- Apply orabase gel that contain
benzocaine.
- Do antiseptic mouthwash rinses.
If condition doesn't get better in a week then
consult dentist or oral pathologist for proper examination tto rule out condition like herpes or allergy.
Doctor may prescribe topical
tetracycline , topical steroids or anti viral drugs depending upon the diagnosis .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
