I am a 65yr old female, 2 prior nasal polyp surgeries, however only the lower sinuses were treated. 6 wks ago I had endoscopic surgery for an extremely severe polyp condition. All cavities were tally blocked. A deviated septum was also corrected at the same time. Two stents were inserted due to scaring in order to promote sufficient healing, they will be removed at my Dr's. disgression. Now 6 weeks post-op, recovery has been steady but slow. I continue to have runny and sometimes burning eyes, particularly on the left side. I continue to have varying degrees of pressure on the left side of the bridge of my nose. Two of my front teeth are still totally numb, and clearing mucus from the left side is almost impossible, regardless of how much I flush. I am beginning to be concerned, particularly about my teeth and eyes.
And the left nostril is almost always clogged. I will see my surgeon next week. Are any of these issues a serious concern?
