Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mom is an 81 year old patient with Pulmorary Fibrosis. She was given Atrovent and Salbutamol inhalers and her blood pressure is going down badly. She has nausea, she doesn't want to eat well. She also coughs during the day and mostly at night and has phlegm. Should we stop those inhalers?
The condition seems respiratory infection with systemic manifestation. Primary guidelines - Get basic lab tests, x-ray chest prescription with your doctor. - Has to continue inhalers, by stopping the condition will worsen. - Allow her to rest in semi-reclining position. - Give more liquids in sessions to maintain blood pressure.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
