General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, seems to be related to GI infection through some sort of bacteria or virus, rather than procedure related. Absence of menses are common occurrence for a various period of time in many women, however hormone imbalance of any sort must be sorted out beforehand. My guidelines at present:
- Drink more liquids in sessions including boiled water, oral rehydration salt etc
- Avoid all spices, non veg, dairy fat, junk items
- Prescription of anti emetic as ondancetron, proton pump inhibitor as Omeprazole with sips of water on empty stomach
- Check to have regular bowel evacuation if there is constipation of moderate to severe intensity
- Analgesic as Drotaverine with Mefenamic acid and Acetaminophen
- Discuss need of any GI specific antibiotic during scheduled visit
- Some cases may require:
@ Basic lab tests of complete hemogram with or without serum Widal test
@ Ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
