Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Remedy For Numbness In Hip And Inner Thigh Area
Have a herniated disc (L4-L5) on which I have had 2 surgeries (microdisectomy and laminectomy). Having terrible sciatica again, but with new symptoms of pain in both legs, inner thigh area on left and right hip is completely numb. This has been going on for about 10 days. My PT stretches don t help touch the pain right now.
I have studied your case and I would suggest you to get MRI of the spine. It will tell us if there is still some nerve compression or disc herniation present. If there is disc herniation than you might need a repeat surgery. If MRI is not showing any nerve compression than you can continue with physiotherapy, tablet Pregabalin and Methylcobalamine. I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know If there is any other follow up questions. Thanks
