Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Dear patient
You have got inflammation of your cervical nerve roots post injection epidural which is leading to burning pain along both arms. This is not uncommon post epidural shot and may take few days to disappear. But since it has taken 6 weeks in your case possibility of infection should be considered. Are you having fever? Get your blood checked for 1. Complete blood counts with differential 2. C reactive protein levels . High CRP level and increase in total leukocyte counts are suggestive of infection. Start tab augmentin 625 mg thrice a day and tab linezolid 600 mg twice a day for 10 days. Also take tab medrol 8mg twice a day for 5 days. This will relieve you of pain and infection. A visit to your operating surgeon is highly recommended. All the best.
