Suggest Remedy For Pain And Bruise In Mid Back Post Injury

Hi, I fell down about three weeks ago and hurt my mid back and left buttock. It was all blue. Pain and bruising went away after couple of weeks and it was ok for one week. No I just can t sleep since last week as my back hurts very bad and it is kind of radiating pain going towards the side of my stomach and sometimes it feels that stomach hurts also.

Hi
Thanks for your question.

There is a possibility that you might have hurt your back by fracturing a vertebra or a rib that is now pressing on a nerve and causing the pain in a typically limited area.

I would suggest you to get an X-Ray of the Thoraco Lumbar spine with the posterior ribs to rule out any bony injury.

Please also get an ultrasound done to rule out any unrelated abdominal pathology such as kidney stones.

Hope I could answer your question. Please feel free to get back to me if you have any further questions.
