Suggest Remedy For Pain And Swelling At Left Foot Thumb
hi, i am a 28 years young man. i got hurt on my left foot thumb nail at 3 different occasions over a period of 3 weeks. now i have pain for last 4/5 days on the nail and swelling at the corner of the nail. it pains a lot when comes in contact with any external thing. Please suggest
The pain would be secondary to the trauma. You can consider the use of an anti inflammatory pain killer such as cataflam, ibuprofen, naproxen to help ease your pain.
If the pain does not resolve after a few days of appropriate pain treatment then it is possible that there is also co existing infection such as paronychia.
This is infection where the nail and skin meet at the base. It can be fungal or bacterial. Your doctor would need to evaluate to determine appropriate treatment.
I hope this helps
