General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to an infection of the thumb. I suggest to continue the cycle of antibiotics. I recommend using Augmentin 626 g twice a day for a week. I also recommend using anti inflammatory medications. I recommend to clean the area with hydrogen peroxide and cover it with an antibiotic cream such as Neosporin cream. If the symptoms continue, you should consult a physician for a physical examination.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
