I have been experiencing for the past 5 years pain in the left ankle from nerve damage from stepping on a large Lego. The same ankle foot had surgery on it when I was 12. I am now 46. I am now experiencing great pain, swelling, bluish discoloration in the whole foot and now I have been treated for gout which I m suspecting is coming back. Walking, standing, even sitting hurts. I also have stress endured psoriasis now on the foot. I am over weight 267, hypothyroidism, have restless legs, and in menopause. So far I am not diabetic nor do I have high blood pressure or cholesterol. I am worried about PVD. By the end of my day I am in agony, soaking my foot in hot water to relax it and taking Advil pm just to get to sleep. I have tried special socks but they cut off circulation above knee. I am retaining enough fluid that by 7:00pm I am in bed with foot up and it is twice the size of the right foot. How worried should I be.
