Suggest Remedy For Pain In Ears With Thick Brown Discharge
Suffering from earache for a litter over a week... Been taking 800 mg ibuprofen every 4-6 hours for pain control as well as antibiotic ear drops... Still suffering from pain cleaned out my ear today and noticed thick brown discharge... Is this an infection emerging or something that serious that should be looked at by a physician?
Hello dear user! I have gone through your query and understood your concerns! Thank you for sharing them on healthcaremagic. Yes it should definitely be seen by a doctor, and better by an ENT specialist. Having pain for about one week without resolving even with the use of antibiotic drops and painkillers, indicates an infection which persists. You will have to do an examination of your ear by otoscopy, and see what kind of infection is in there. So the proper cure of antibiotics and other medication given, will help you resolve that condition quicker. I hope this answer was helpful to you! Please kindly rate it as helpful and write a short review about your experience with me! I would appreciate that a lot. Thank you and best regards! DR ERIOL.
