Suggest Remedy For Pain In Hand After Getting Electric Shock

I was plugging in a plug at work and got shocked twice. Once when I was plugging in the plug and again when I touched the cord. I am feeling a pain in my right hand on the top of my hand and a weird kind of sensation is going up my arm in to my shoulder. Should I seek medical attention or will this feeling go away. My boss said the pain should eventually go away, but I only have 48 hours to file a complaint
