Suggest Remedy For Pain In Hip Radiating To Knee And Ankle
I have been having severe hip pain it started about a month ago after I jumped over my 6ft privacy fence with a weed eater to tighten up the other side of my fence. My pain is on the posterior side of my right hip in my buttocks shooting down my right knee all the way to my ankle all on posterior side. Hurts like hell has really effected my quality of life for the last month. I am a white male 6 3 225lbs 36 years old. I previously had my right knee scoped in 2000. Any advice would be helpful. I have been taking Motrin max dose aspirin and turmeric helps slightly. Thanks and appreciate your time. DC
* As per my surgical experience, the pain in the hip radiating to knee and ankle on the posterior surface indicates most likely underlying sciatic nerve compression at the upper level.
An MRI of the lower lumbar spinal region will help to understand the issue more precisely and later on framing of the treatment protocols.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
