Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Remedy For Pain In Ligament At Top Of Foot?
My ortho says prob in left foot with help from MRI is in the Talus. But, wake up in middle of night with cramp in the ligament at top of foot/ankle and it hurts to flex, without getting out of bed and walking awhile. so, where is the prob. really? Could this be a neuro thing, due to compressed nerve in back?
The details you mentioned are incomplete. As you mentioned, the cramps has nothing associated with talus. Yes, if there is some increase in pain on ankle flexion then yes, it can be related to talus. Talus always need to be examined properly and then giving treatment is equally important. Nerve, if affected, will have a different presentation. Hence, it is advisable to get properly examined and get consultation again.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sushil Vijay, Orthopedic Surgeon
