Suggest Remedy For Pain In Prostate Area And Frequent Urination
I am having some pain in what appears to be my bladder, frequent urination, no burning or discharge, and some pain in my prostate area. I was tested for a UTI infection and there was no bacteria present, apparently, and the PSA test for my prostate came back normal…what could it be? I have ulcerative colitis.
You should also get ultrasound of prostate and pre and post void volume of urine calculated as there can be significant prostatic hyperplasia with normal PSA. Also, any stricture should also be ruled out. Meanwhile using citrosoda or cranberry sachet may be helpful. Drinking more water and OTC analgesic like Acetaminophen can be used meanwhile. Urologist review should be sought if problem persists.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
