I am a 61 yr old very healthy women, pescatarian and just recently have a very sharp pain in my right eyebrow~ ONLY when touched. I am wanting to make an appointment with a Dr. However have no idea what kind of Dr to see. Can you give me any help? Thank You!
Treatment always depends upon the underlying cause. To those who come to my clinic with similar symptoms, I recommend thorough clinical examination, eye check up for glaucoma, sinuses examination. For migraine, the drugs used are caffeine, Aspirin and Acetaminophen combination for mild ones. Sumatriptan, Dihydroergotamine and Lasmiditan.
Get rest. Do relaxation or meditation. Go to a dark room with little or no sound. Placing a cold compress on your head or eyes. Avoid allergens. Reduce stress. You may use tab. Acetaminophen for 1 week daily twice. You may also take tab. Ibuprofen once daily for 1 week. If the pain persists or becomes worse, kindly contact a physician for clinical examination and appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
