Hello,

You had an injury on your knuckles that healed and presently you are experiencing difficulty in getting grip and also have pain. Since it has healed, it can be due to the scar. Keep doing stretch exercises gently to help muscles gain strength and to help any nerve impingement/ irritation or inflammation. To ease discomfort, you can take acetaminophen, one SOS when pain. It should reduce any internal swelling / inflammation.

It should get better in a couple of days. If not, you have hurt your nerve. It is injury to nerve that is affecting your grip and causing discomfort. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP / neurologist, get all tests/investigations, NCV test, imaging tests to detect any damage to the nerve. You will be treated accordingly. In the meantime, you can take the help of a Physio therapist. Take vitamin B6,B12, E rich food or supplements to help nerve repair.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
