Suggest Remedy For Pain & Swelling In Ear

Hi,I am 31 years of age, 5'0" in height and I dont have any history on eardrum problem. But just 2 days ago, I had a problem with my ear, it get swollen but I dont know the reason. Last night I feel a severe pain on my ear. I even have difficulty in turning my head to the right or left direction. But I already take some antibitiocs and also medicine to relieve the pain. But Im worry if this could be dangerous especially that our eardrums are very sensitive. Do i need to consult a doctor? Or just take some home remedy. Hope you could give me some advice. I would be very thankful for that.God bless u all here.

Causes of ear pain ranges from infection/inflammation of ear canal skin either bacterial/fungal,impacted wax,acute infection/inflammation of middle ear.Sometimes referred ear pain (pathology outside ear causing pain referred to ear)can be seen in conditions like dental caries,tonsillar infections,temporomandibular joint problems,infections of salivary glands,tumors in tongue and throat.Examination of ear becomes important in your case as majority of these conditions can be ruled out.Please consult ENT if pain recurs at any time.
