Suggest Remedy For Painful Ankle And Legs

Hi I have a very achey and painful lower leg from ankle to just above knee it has been happening for the last half a day and comes in very painful acheing intensely waves for about 5 to 10 minutes every 20 minutes or so it feels almost cold painful and doesn't hurt to touch just as above pain wise. It's just one leg and it is my leg that is significantly longer by a cm or so. From about the age of 16 I've had similiar but slightly less painful feeling in my ankle but now it's progressed and it very painful any idea what it is I don't want to wasted surgeries time . Thanks
