Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I m a 62 year old female. I have a boil in the crease of my leg right near my vagina, but definitely in the leg crease there. I m trying to keep the area clean and am using an antibiotic ointment on it (fucidin) a few times a day. I have clobastesol and betamethasone valerate creams here. The clobastesol was prescribed for hair loss and the betamethasone valerate was prescribed for my patch of flaky skin on my forehead. I ve read that betamethasone or clobastesol are both good to use on boils. Is this correct? The boil area hurts so much when I sit, and I sit most of the day due to severe osteoarthritis.

General & Family Physician, Dr. Nishad BN's Response
Hi,
Painful blister in vagina can be due to genital herpes. Avoid steroid creams like Betamethasone or Clobetasol as they can worsen it. You can use Acyclovir cream for local application. Antibiotic creams like Ciprofloxacin can be used along side also. If pain is more then go for Herpes blood test to rule out that.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nishad B. N., General & Family Physician
