Suggest Remedy For Painful Intercourse Due To Vaginal Dryness
I often have uncomfortable and painful sex due to vaginal dryness. Though my libido is fine and am in a healthy happy relationship and am young, not anywhere near menopause. The medications I regularly take as needed are concerta for adhd, peptobismo/lactaid for lactose in tolerance and occasionally ibuprofen for headaches. What could be the cause and what can I do?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Painful intercourse due to vaginal dryness or less vaginal lubrication is a common problem. It can arise due to low level of oestrogen, insufficent arousal, anxiety & due to some medicines or irritants in soaps or detergent. However the medicines you are taking doesn't cause the problem. You should use lubricants during sex. Lubricants make sex less uncomfortable rather than for long-term vaginal lubrication. Alternatively vaginal moisturizers can be an effective way to minimize vaginal dryness over several days with one application. One thing can be done to improve natural lubrication. You should increase the time of foreplay, before engaging in sexual activity. It would also be helpful.
If problem persist visit a gynaecologist Hope this information helps
