Suggest Remedy For Painful Lump In Tongue And Pain In Ear

Hello, I am a 36yr old non-smoker/tobacco user that has had a swollen tongue for the past couple days. There is a painful mass that started off as just a pain inside my tongue and now is about the size of a pea and is very painful to touch. Also, my botton lip is swollen on my right side and my lymphnode glands on my right side of my neck are swollen too. In addition, there is mild pressure and pain in my right ear. I have no known food allergies and I am not on any precriptions. This has occured 1 other time about 5 years ago. I saw a ENT doc and they had not seen such a thing and recommneded a biospy if the mass did not go down. Well, it did go down and I have not had any "flareups" until now. Any thoughts???

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain swollen tongue with a painful bump and swollen lip along with inflamed lymph nodes seems to be due to allergic reaction to any unknown allergen or can also be deficiency of vitamin B12 or iron etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and blood investigations as per the suspected cause of the swelling can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
As of now you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, take multivitamin tablet daily, do warm saline gargles and suck ice pops
In case of pain and discomfort gargle with a numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine can help..

Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
