Suggest Remedy For Painful Scratch In The Ear

Hi My age is 32 I tried to clean my ears with ear bud and it was painful while I scratched to the external skin. I found dried blood on next day, so I feel sometime little itchy while taking bath or rubbing the ear. So what should I do now? Do I need to contact an ENT or it will cure automatically?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern.
As you mention in query that you get your ear injured while scratching.First of all do not touch or scratch aging it can cause serious infection in ear .

i would suggest you to use ear drops containing hydrocortisone which will relieve you from itching and swelling inside ciprofloxacine as antibiotic that can prevent infection 3 drops twice a day.

If condition doesn't improve in 3 days or get worse immediately consult ENT specialist (ear.nose ,throat).Doctor may clean your ear from inside if there is somthing inside ear and prescribe you oral antibiotics .
