Suggest Remedy For Painful, Sore, Non Cancerous Lump On Groin

I have a swollen lump in my groin on the right side. It s been there for approximately 4 months now. It is elongated and can be sore when touched or extremely painful. My pcp has done bloodwork and a round of antibiotics. Sent be to the gynecologist who did an exam and said everything looked okay, still waiting on pap results, and sent me back to pcp. Pcp then sent me to a surgeon. Saw the surgeon today. He lightly touched the lump asked if I rode bikes or horses told me it was about 4cm non cancerous and would remove if painful. I m feeling dismissed.

Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

I fully agree with the surgeon. This is hernia which is not a cancer. It’s just an elongation of the bowel outside the abdominal internal layer. It will repair with surgery. No worries.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
