Suggest Remedy For Painful Swelling In Feet In 36th Week Of Pregnancy

Ok I m 36 weeks pregnant. My feet have been swollen all day long and they hurt very bad. 3 hours ago, my BP was 122/83 I just took it again at 8:00 and out was 163/90. I just had gotten out of a hot bath and I ve drank a ton of water today and have had NO salt! What could be going on? My fiancé thinks it s not a big deal and doesn t want to take me to the hospital. What is your suggestion?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Having edema on feet is common at this stage of pregnancy due to pressure on vessels producing some vascular obstructions.
Go for regular measuring of blood pressure as during this time increasing blood pressure lead to toxemia of pregnancy.
Take less salt in diet.
Take rest and you can raise your legs while lying down position.
Remain in regular follow up with your Obst.
Ok and take care.
