Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern.

As per your query you have symptoms of painful, swollen gum tissue post wisdom tooth removal which is because of excessive soft tissue laceration. While removal of wisdom tooth access required should be more if the extraction is surgically done by bone cutting and stitches, there is more swelling and pain. If you have continued pain it is due to response of inflammation which is commonly occurring after surgical procedure. I would suggest you to consult your dentist and get clinically evaluated and get treated accordingly. You should take a short course of antibiotics like Amoxicillin. You can take Tramadol for severe pain or combination of Diclofenac and Ibuprofen. Maintain proper oral hygiene. If tissue is appearing like a flap go for suturing in that area as it will fasten healing and give better bone contouring and go for replacement prosthesis in that area after proper healing.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
