Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a 6.4 x 3.3 mm stone in the lower pole of the left kidney. I have no pain, but when put on Plavix for another reason, had blood in my urine. I have been off the plavix now for a week and a half and the blood is gone from my urine. Saw a urologist today who recommended lithotripsy. If I have not pain and the bleeding has stopped, can I try to dissolve it?
Hello. Read your query and noted the contents. Its a fairly large calculus. You should get a lithotripsy done. Its a painless procedure. You may need to be off plavix for a while (atleast 5 days) prior to the procedure ideally. Please go on. Please feel free to drop in any more queries if need be. Warm regards, Dr Praveen Jeyapathy
