Suggest Remedy For Palpitation And Depression Due To Long Term Usage Of Ritolin
My son has ADHD and has been using Ritolin 30mg and has experiencing side affects such as: fast heart beat, depression, sensitivity, loss of appetite, stuffy nose and moody. My question is would Strattera be a safer and good alternative for his condition for my son? Mike YYYY@YYYY
Since your son has been prescribed Ritalin but now he is experiencing side effects, you are suggested to inform the treating doctor and take consultation. Do not stop the medication suddenly, it can cause unwanted withdrawal symptoms. Your doctor will lower the dose gradually over time so your body can adjust to less and less of the medication.
Strattera can be given only after assessing the clinical condition of the son, his response to the social and psychological factors. His improvements and needs. Consult the treating doctor. Do not depend on medicines, give him quality time, love and care. Physiotherapy, exercises and small tasks will help him focus on activities and control behaviour problems. Encourage him when he makes an effort.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
