Suggest Remedy For Persistent Cough With Excess Mucus

I have persistent cough That I can t get rid of.Overwhelming amount of mucous that I just can t seem to clear and it tickles my chest makes and me cough. I have had chest xray was taking singulair didn t really seem to help.This comes and goes, when it is active I stay in bed for days. I am currently taking nyquil and dayquil and mucinex to get rid of mucus

Hello,

The excessive production of mucus needs to be controlled by clearing the mucus. Steam inhalation along with mucus clearing drug is required. Decrease of mucus production will lead to cough control.
