Suggest Remedy For Persistent Cough

I've been taking medicine about my cough proscribed by the doctor who treat me but it seems my cough persisted for almost three week now. I used to drink beer every week and i have a history of pnuemonia. what cough medicine is best for me? thanks a lot doc.

IF YOU HAVE POST NASAL DRIP THEN YOU TEND TO HAVE CHRONIC COUGH EVEN AFTER TAKING MEDICINES..SO CHANGE YOUR POSITION OF YOUR SLEEPING ..THAT IS SLEEP IN 45 DEGREE ANGLE WITH RAISED PILLOWS
