Suggest Remedy For Persistent Earache

I have all the symptoms of copd and years ago the doctor said one of my lungs was rounded at the bottom, however when i go for any ailments they say it is allergies so i get a shot which i got three weeks ago. I took antibiotics for 10 days for a bulging eardrum and possible small hole in drum. The result of this was no help i still have earache and now thrush i assume from antibiotics. I have horrible cramps in my outer shins and top of my feet. what should i do?

For pain in ear, symptom wise approach is necesary:

1. Examination of external ear canal with a good torch for wax, white flakes, or boil.
2. Palpate mastoid process for tendrness.
3. Inspect Tonsils,Throat & Teeth for referred pain
4. If wax, then wax ear drops are given, if furuncle then antibiotic course with anti inflammatory and analgesic drug.
5. If in painful ear, external ear is norma, put drops in nose.
6. If external ear is normal, ear pain could be due to middle ear infection, esp. otitis media and small hole migt suggest perforation of tympanic membrane.
