Suggest Remedy For Persistent Heart Palpitations And Flutters

Hi about a month ago I began experiencing very obvious heart palpitations/flutterings. My Gp dud an ECG where she could see the 'extra beats'. She Saud it was probably due to a virus and would go as quickly as it started. However, although not as frequent, it is still happening. I'm extremely worried that this is something more serious. I'm overweight and lead quite a stressful daily life looking after my kids, 2 with special needs.

I can understand your concern. Sudden onset palpitations and extra beats on ECG can occur due to a number of reasons. First thing that should be done is to get ECG checked by a good physician. If needed an ECHOCARIOGRAPH can help to find out any structural abnormality. In most cases episodic palpitations or extra beats can occur without any reason. Anxiety is also on of common reason behind such symptoms. If heart comes out to be normal then most likely cause of your symptoms is anxiety. Medicines like Propranolol or low dose benzodiazpeines on SOS basis can help to reduce the symptoms and will result in relaxation. Visit a good doctor for help.
