I ve had a reoccurring rash behind my ears associated with swollen lymph nodes in my neck on and off for about 4 years. The rash is itchy, red, flaky, and spreads in a circular fashion. My lymph nodes are painful to the touch. My doctor just gives me something to relieve the itching but doesn t know what it is or the cause. Do you know of any conditions with these symptoms?
hi. I have read your question and understand your concern.
red itchy scaly rashes behind the ear can be because of seborrheic dermatitis. seborrheic dermatitis is a type of eczema. patients suffering from this disorder may also have itchy flaky scalp, itching over eyebrows, eyelashes, upper back. all the symptoms may not be present in every person.
If such a patient visited my clinic, my prescription would be triatop shampoo thrice weekly candid- b cream twice daily tab levosiz once daily
I suggest you see your dermatologist and confirm your Diagnosis and then get a prescription.
hope this helps. for any further questions please get back to us. thanks.
