I m wondering if I have a yeast infection?? It itches around the opening of my vagina and also around my clitoris! I have bought vagisil maximum strength and I have also bought some of the monicozole! I ve used for the past 2 nights and the itching is still there I m scared and the itching is really bothering me! Will this go away???
Hello and welcome to HCM, Itching near the vaginal opening and around the clitoris is most often due to fungal infection. Monicozolel is an anti-fungal preparation. You need to use it for at least one week before symptoms of itching are relieved. If the itching i still persistent, after using the anti-fungal for one week, you may consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment. If discharge is present then the discharge may have to be examined to look for micro-organism. Suitable treatment can be planned after knowing the organism causing the infection.
