Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I noticed a purple red ball attached via stalk to labia minora. Is it something dangerous? A few days ago there was pus coming out of it but now its just purple red. Moreover, there is something like that of a skin tag/long growth near by but it does not have this round contour at end. I had similar situation a year bag
Boils or lumps around the labia can occur due to cyst or abscess. Small abscess or cyst will break down on its own. Keeping the area clean and antibiotic use can reduce the symptoms. In case of large abscess, draining the pus may be essential. Since you have mentioned similar swelling in the past, it is essential to identify the nature of the swelling and prevent the recurrence.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
