I have been doing the HCG diet for the past 3 weeks. The first 2 weeks I did the 500 calorie diet but stopped on week 3 but continued the daily hcg injections. I have missed my period and am having pregnancy symptoms. I have not taken a home test since in will show positive due to the hormones. I stopped taking the injections 2 days ago when I started suspecting a possible pregnancy. How long does it take for the hcg (low dose daily injection) to get out of your system and how soon can I take an accurate pregnancy test. I did call my obgyn to schedule an ultrasound but they are booked solid until August. And it would take just as long to get in with a different doctor as a new patient.
