Suggest Remedy For Pressure On Head After Head Injury

I hit the left side of my head on or near, I m not sure, my temple. I was fine after then as night got closer it hurt more when I touched the bruise. I didn t want to sleep last night in fear of going in to coma. I feel asleep at 8am and woke up at about 11:30am. When I lay on the left side it feels like there s pressure. My mom gets off work at 9:30pm and when she gets home she said she ll see how I am. Should we go to the hospital?

I would need to know a little more information but from what I have read so far you probably do not need to go to the hospital

Some questions I would want to know
1. How old are you. If you are over the age of 65 I would recommend that you go to the hospital to be seen
2. Are you on blood thinners, if you are and I was treating you in the emergency room I would get a CT scan of your head, a CT is a fancy X-ray to make sure you didn't have any blood in your head
3. Did you pass out after you hit your head, if yes, then you need to go to the hospital
4. Have you vomited more than once, if yes, then you need to go to the hospital
5. If you are not acting correctly then you need to go to the hospital

If the answers to the above are no you are most likely okay staying at home

I would take Tylenol for the pain

I would avoid Ibuprofen for the next 24 hours
