Suggest Remedy For Prolonged Rapid Heartbeat Post A Nightmare
Hi .. Lastnight around 2am, I was awaken by a nightmare and inside the dream I was suffocated. And when I wake up, I was having a light chest pain and follow by burping a few times. I took my dinner at 6pm lastnight. And now 7am, the chest pain gone but I still feel abit of heart rapid. What is the caused? Thanks
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. I understand your concern. Sometimes it happens that you continue to have rapid heart beat and palpitations after nightmare. Relax. It is more of psychological acute disorder due to anxiety. Try to forget what has happened. You can use some relaxation techniques like meditation to calm your mind. Also you can take Tablet. Alprazolam 0.5 mg once a day at bedtime for 5 days to reduce your anxiety. Slowly you will be back to normal. All the best.
