Hi im not goinng to beat around the bush so i will get straight to the point. I was shaving my scrotum becuase I thought I had a rash down there and while shaving the skin of my scrotum got caught in the shaving aND pulled it off. So now I have a open wound a little smaller than my pinkie finger nail that is exposed raw meat. I am really worried about it getting infected. How should I treat it or care for it. So far I have rinsed it with warm water and then rinsed with hydrogen peroxide then rinsed with water again then put antibiotic ointment on it and cover with band aid. Please help. How should I treat it?
hello please don't worry and also please don't put a band aid on the scrotum. get a providone iodine solution. wash the area with plain water without using soap as it will hurt you. then after drying apply tge providone iodine solution on the injured part. please get neosporin powder and sprinkle the powder on the injured area and then leave it open. no need to cover it ot using an ointment as the ointment will give a sticky feeling and can cause more sweating thereby leading to delayed healin . please follow this procedure twice a day for three days. please report after that.
thanks take care
