Suggest Remedy For Rashes After Using Sunscreen Lotion

My son has a rash after using sunscreen. It was a different kind than what I normally used. It doesn t seem to bother him at all, it s just unsightly. Could it be a reaction to the different sunscreen? It s also possible that the can of sunscreen is old and expired. And what can I put on his seen to help clear up the rash?

Hi,

As per your query you have rashes after using sunscreen lotion which occurs due to allergic reaction to one of the ingredients of sunscreen. I would suggest you to stop use of this cream immediately. You should not prick or touch rashes and wash affected area with mild soap twice a day.

Apply mild potent topical steroid such as Betamethasone. Avoid over exposure to sun. If condition persist consult dermatologist for proper evaluation of your condition and start treatment accordingly.
