My son is 10 months old and is having fever as high as 100.5. Earlier the duration in which it was re occurring was 7 to 8 hrs but now it has reduced and has come down to 4 to 5 hrs.. we were giving him t 98 drops 1.4 ml (sos) and synclar 3.5 ml twice a day...it has been 6 days that fever is not going ... Pl help
Hi, In my opinion, since your child has fever for 6 days, there is a possibility of typhoid, respiratory infection, Dengue fever. I think you should do some investigations like cbc, typhidot Igm, NS1 antigen test, malarial antigen test. Also, i would like to start the child on antibiotic like syrup amoxyclav 2.5 ml three times a day for 3 days. However, since this is a prescription drug, i suggest you to meet the local doctor to confirm the diagnosis. I hope this has helped you. Take care. Regards: Dr Deepak Patel, MD Pediatrics
