Suggest Remedy For Recurrent Fever In Infants Despite Medication

My son is 10 months old and is having fever as high as 100.5. Earlier the duration in which it was re occurring was 7 to 8 hrs but now it has reduced and has come down to 4 to 5 hrs.. we were giving him t 98 drops 1.4 ml (sos) and synclar 3.5 ml twice a day...it has been 6 days that fever is not going ... Pl help

Hi,
In my opinion, since your child has fever for 6 days, there is a possibility of typhoid, respiratory infection, Dengue fever. I think you should do some investigations like cbc, typhidot Igm, NS1 antigen test, malarial antigen test. Also, i would like to start the child on antibiotic like syrup amoxyclav 2.5 ml three times a day for 3 days. However, since this is a prescription drug, i suggest you to meet the local doctor to confirm the diagnosis. I hope this has helped you. Take care.
