Exercise-related transient abdominal pain (ETAP) is more commonly known to athletes as a stitch, stitch in the side, side cramp, side ache and subcostal pain. Your pain is mainly due to lack of adequate warm up.
A few treatment options are pain relieving medication like NSAIDs Ibuprofen or Naproxen which are to be taken daily twice for 3 days. If you have gastric irritation, you can take tab. Pantoprazole before food. Physical therapy includes mild stretching exercises.
Please do see a physical therapist for learning few stretching exercises that can relieve cramp of muscles and decrease pain. Even with the above measures, if your pain doesn't reduce, you may see a physician for further evaluation.
