Suggest Remedy For Recurring, Itchy And Burning Rashes Under The Forearm
I have a small area under my forearm below the wrist that has had a persistent itchy burning rash for about 2-3 months. It sometimes partially clears up but then it re emerges. the rash is raised and weeps. I thought it might be shingles but the area is not filled with blisters. There may have been a few flat blisters during one of my outbreaks. I have tried benadryl topical gel, cortisone cream and even anti fungal creams. All have provided temporary or partial relief. They area is very tight looks dry and taunt around the edges. send response to my husband s email below
Hello and welcome to HCM, The itchy raised and weeping rash over the forearm could be due allergy, contact dermatitis, fungal infection etc. A clinical assessment of the rash is required by a dermatologist. In case the rash is due to allergy, allergy testing will confirm the allergic origin of test. For confirming fungal infection, scraping from the rash will be required for fungal growth. Thus, you need to consult a dermatologist for a definitive diagnosis and thus management.
