Hi.

I had gone through your query.

Panic attack can occur in sleep but need to differentiate from nocturnal laryngospasm. So consult ENT specialist to rule out nocturnal laryngospasm.

Sleep apnea is 2nd main differential diagnosis that have to rule out.For that need to consult psychiatrist.

If you have already diagnosed panic attack then require proper psychological evaluation.
Panic attack is anxiety disorder and Mental status examination is very useful ti identify underlying psychopathology.
It can be treated with combination of benzodiazapine and SSRI.

Medicines like sertraline/escitalopram/peroxetine will be useful to prevent further panic attack.

Glad to help you further.

Thank you.
